I was born and raised in Minnesota. I made my first pinch pot in first grade. I continued to learn about ceramics throughout Junior and Senior High School. Afterwards, I attended The University of Arizona and earned degrees in Anthropology/Archaeology and Studio Art. While working with US Geological Survey, I combined my love of art and science while creating maps with geographic information systems. I spent a few years in NYC working various jobs including a pottery studio, an archaeology consulting company, and The American Museum of Natural History. I currently reside in Tucson and teach pottery.
